I have no idea how to fix this....
I am trying to watch a specific movie purchased on the google play app, all of my other movies play fine except this one. I can hear the audio from the background music, but there is no talking coming from the characters, only the background music can be heard.
Google told me it was a problem with ROKU and since I cant seem to get in contact with anyone I have a useless purchase unless someone has an idea on how to fix it.

I haven't been able to fix this either, tried everything short of a factory reset. It's only happening with Google Play Movies & TV, but seems to affect every movie in my library I've tried so far. It was working fine previously, but I noticed my Roku Ultra (4660RW) recently updated itself to Roku OS 9.4.0, which I doubt is just a coincidence.
Not happy. Hopefully Roku hurries up and fixes this...
Same thing with me I have restarted and researched - still no talking!
I updated my Roku AFTER the problem started in hopes it would fix it but it did not.
I am also having this issue. Roku Ultra 2019 model. The Roku Ultra 2020 model in the other room is working fine
FYI, looks like an update today (10/31/20) finally fixed this issue for me. 👍
