Match refresh rate is even more broken on 8.1

Anyone else experience this? I updated my Premiere+ to 8.1 today and tried playing videos in a few different apps. 9 times out of 10 I just get a black screen and then a lost signal. Smashing the home button will sometimes get you back but I did have to unplug the hdmi once before turning it off.

Good lord Roku, just get rid of this setting. It’s clear the engineers can’t get it working properly since it was inteoduces like a year ago.

Re: Match refresh rate is even more broken on 8.1

I noticed on my Ultra (original) and 8.1 that any 30fps video is now shown at 60 fps. Any 25 fps video is shown at 50, any 24 fps video is shown at 24, any 50fps video is shown at 50 and any 60 is shown at 60.

My tv supports all those frame rates and it used to change to them (24,25,30,50,60) with older Roku firmware but now it changed. It actually seems better to me this way but I still turn it off because I hate how Netflix acts (big promotional video in gui will change tv to 24 but then changes back to 60 when you move off it.

I really only get the problem when switching resolutions and then ending up with a black screen and being kicked out in Vudu when trying to watch a free movie.
Every once in a while I will end up with a lost signal but the back or home button has solved it.
