Keeps saying check connection

I just started using the roku express. Has been working fine except the past two weekends watching football it stops, gets blurry, goes blank then says check connection about every couple of minutes. I’m even going thru my Spectrum app not the apps I downloaded from the roku. It seems to work fine watching regular tv though. Any suggestions? Football not allowing us to watch for whatever reason? Is my box bad?
