Is my Roku stick fixable or do I need to replace it?

Today I turned on my TV, navigated to an app, and selected something to stream. My TV screen filled with a disturbing green pattern and then I got a "no signal" message on screen. I noticed the power light was off on the Roku stick, so I unplugged and reset everything (the charging cord at both ends, the stick itself from the TV's USB, even my internet.) I also tried plugging the Roku and charging cord in to different devices, too, to see if I could get the power working. A few times the power light came back on nice and bright, other times it came back on sort of pale and weak. At none of those times did I actually get a signal from it again on my TV, though, and now the light just stays off under all circumstances.  

I have a Roku Streaming Stick 2016 Model Black (Model: 3600R.) I bought it in March 2017. Google tells me these devices only last 3-5 years (yikes, but okay.) So I'm hoping for help figuring out if the issue I'm describing is fixable either by some cute trick or by replacing the cord, or if I just need to get a new device at this point.

One last thing to try is powering the device, then holding down the reset button for no less than 30 seconds.

If that doesn't have any affect, then yeah, it may be that the device is inoperable.

I can say that I had a 3600 and while it was an okay device, the current Stick+ model 3810 is much better. It's noticeably faster and more responsive.

^^^ Let me say off the top that I agree 100% with this sentiment.

Before giving up on the 3600, though, the problem could just be with the power adapter.  If you have others available from other devices, you might want to try them.  Just be sure the output listed in the small type on it is 1 amp (1000 milliamps) or higher.
