Insufficient power

I have been using the original power adaptor and cord plugged into the wall for years. Now i get message on screen  saying The USB port on your TV will not power this Roku device.  My Roku is NOT plugged into a USB port. What is the problem? I tried  a different adaptor and cord, same problem.  Ideas?

Please reply here with the serial number of the affected Roku device. It can be viewed by either navigating to Settings > System > About or at the back of the player itself.
