As to the time frame I have had the 3500, I did not want to exaggerate how long but I was sure it had been at least a year we had the 3500 stick. My estimate is probably around 2 years but not the 3 years we have had it. Bought it at Sam's as well so they probably got a deal on the out dated technology when they put it on their sales shelves.
Good news (Hopefully)! I recall someone (in the forum entries) saying something about the batteries so I changed the batteries for new yesterday mid-afternoon. I have not had a single hangup since and that is encouraging. I had already (prior to changing) checked the battery condition on the Roku settings and it indicated 100% so I thought all is well with the included batteries. I have not went this long without a hangup so this is looking good. My apologies for not doing that already but with the check and assuming batteries make things work or totally fail (not intermittently), I did not refresh them with new prior to yesterday.
I have an extender installed and will review the article Tanner is suggesting to read. Ques: - What does PM mean? (Feel free to PM me) When I understand the PM method, I will provide my email addr and the stick s/n. My intention is to give this a week to declare this as a resolution for the issue. Ron
