Solving playback issues

Express 4k+ emits a high pitch sound if it is plugged in to power. Does not matter if it is on or not. Turns off if it is unplugged. This started immediately after purchase. Please advise.

Can you please provide the serial number of your Roku device from Settings>System>About? I'll be able to assist you further from there.
