HDMI port switches must replug HDMI cable BRAVIA TV

Dec. 2019. New Roku Ultra.
I turn TV off using Roku remote. Turn it back on black screen.
Check inputs and cycle to HDMI port 1 an 2 black screen.
Unplug cable and plug into the other port and then Home screen works.
I turned off and on one touch did not fix problem.
Sony BRAVIA external inputs no BRAVIA sync choice.
TV only has 2 HDMI ports.

Exact same thing here with a Streaming Stick+ connected to a Sony Bravia.  Premier+ connected to a second Sony Bravia is fine for now but hasn't updated to 9.2.0 for some reason.  Ultra connected via a Denon receiver is also fine at the moment.  Feel its past time for Roku to step up and address their firmware problem.

That reinforces the firmware update is the issue. To many posts of people experiencing same problem.
Astonishing that there is no Roku post acknowledging.
I plan to return my 2 Ultras purchased yesterday.

2 days after Black Friday purchases, CEO of Roku should be on the Community site as the brand tumbles.

Same here. I bought a replacement Stick+ from Best Buy thinking that mine had failed. It’s going back tomorrow as well. Best Buy had extended their Roku return window through 1/14. I think they may regret that.
