Gonna guess it's a hardware (e.g. expensive to fix) issue, or they would have already fixed it. Even as it is, Roku is doing it wrong - I get HDCP errors on screen savers, when paused, and on "channels" which aren't even copy protected (e.g. NASA channel). That's not a customer issue, it's Roku doing it wrong. Roku is clueless, and customer hostile, or they'd have figured it out long ago.
