Solving playback issues

I have a Roku 4k streaming stick and on HBOMax the closed captioning keeps turning off between every episode even when I watch them one right after another. Anyone know how to make the captioning stay on all the time?

Please be aware that channels on Roku are developed and maintained by the channel developer themselves. We suggest reaching out to HBO Max's customer support team to see if they have any additional settings or options within their app that may allow the functionality you are looking for.

I just noticed this too on HBO last night.  I don’t use CC often but don’t recall this action before.   I really like turn CC on replay only option
