Buffering on Apple app

I have a strange problem of buffering only when I watch Apple app original programming. My Bestbuy geeks think it’s a software incompatibility - either between Apple and my new Sony OLED, or Apple and Roku. Has anybody else experienced this? Might I be be able to solve it by upgrading to Roku Ultra 2020? Currently using Ultra 2019, purchased in August.

Lots of problems being reported here with the 2020 Ultra, I think I'd hold off for now.

Have you tried reinstalling the channel?

Remove channel

Restart Roku to clear memory (Settings > System > System restart)

Reinstall channel

  • Roku Streaming Stick +, 3810X, Ser YH0059427035, wifi - Samsung UN55ES6100
  • Roku Streaming Stick, 3600X, Ser 5S56D8240827, wifi - JVC EM37T
  • TCL Roku TV 43S425/C107X, Ser X000001R60KV, wifi

I tried removing and reinstalling the app, but not refreshing memory. Good tip, but I’m not optimistic.
