Audio issue - Roku Premier+

I have a Roku Premier+ connected to an LG 60" TV (LG6065 I think) and LG Soundbar with wireless subwoofer.  The internet connection is a 5Ghz Cable Internet wireless connection (Wifi has a 2.4 and 5GHz band, Roku gets the 5).  The modem is on the stand with the Roku.  

I'm having trouble with the audio.  When watching something on the Roku, the subwoofer will cut in and out, and the light on the sub (green for on, red for off) will start blinking like it has lost connection.  The strange part is that this ONLY happens when using the Roku and is a fairly recent development.  I can watch the same show on the TV's native app and have no problems.

Could the internet signal from the modem be interfering with the signal from the sub to the soundbar?
