Audio connectivity

Hi, just bought a Roku express.  It’s all set up but the audio isn’t working.  I’m trying to get it to play either through my Vizio tv or my Sony soundbar.  I’ve tried every configuration, it seems, via Audio settings in Roku.  Should the USB be connected to the tv or the soundbar?  And which settings in Roku?

The USB only supplies power to the Roku unit.  It has no other function.  Since the USB ports on many TV's etc supply less than the 1 amp your Roku needs to operate reliably, your best bet is to connect your Express to house power via the provided USB power adapter.
