App crashes Roku TV

When I use the Philo app and select a program that is VOD, it always begins with a few unskippable advertisements.  The first commercial plays for a few seconds then freezes.  A few seconds after that, it will crash my Roku TV where the TV will reboot itself.  This does not happen if playback is from the cloud DVR.  This issue has happened before when I used YouTube TV, but it seemed to correct itself.  This is almost certainly a Roku TV issue since I don't have the same problem on my Samsung TV.  Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.
