The Roku home screen is full screen and all apps are full screen too when browsing for a movie/video. When selecting a video, the screen only displays 1/4 of screen in the upper left corner. It's not the TV. Just bought the Roku today. I've tried unplugging everything and plugging it back in, and turning the TV on and off, no change.
This seems to come up a lot. I don't know if anything in this thread will help:
@amyfig Thanks for reaching out. A couple things to try here:
1. Try replacing the HDMI cable you are using to connect your device to your TV.
2. Try connecting your device to a different HDMI port on your TV.
3. Try adjusting the resolution settings in Settings>Display type. Does choosing a specific resolution type (1080p, 720p) help resolve the issue when compared to using Auto-detect?
If those things aren't helping clear up the issue, please provide the following details:
- What channel(s) are you seeing this issue occurring in when trying to stream, and what is an example content title? (e.g. Netflix, Stranger Things Season 1, Episode 1.)
- What specific make/model of TV is your Roku device connected to?
We'll continue assisting you from there!
Thanks,
Tanner
