open ports

Using nmap, last week there were no UDP ports open. Today, udp ports 7, 19, 53, 67, 68, 69, 123, 137, 161, 162, 500, 1433, 1434, 1701, and 2049 were opened/filtered. (realizing this isnt truly open, just that nmap couldn't determine for sure that it was open) This looks really odd. Did a reset on the roku including the first time use set up. Re-ran scan and the same ports are still open. Very odd that a streaming device would be listening for sql server... Anyone else experience this? Currently, this is the only streaming device with these ports opened.

Re: open ports

So youre using nmap on your laptop and scanning open ports to that machine.

Is this relevant because you watch Roku on your computer?

Or are you just curious.

Do you have a firewall set up in your router?
