I have just purchased a new Roku streaming stick. Does it work for more than the TV it is physically connected to? Or do I need a separate stick for each TV?
You can move it from TV to TV, but otherwise you need one for each TV.
WHAT ABOUT SMART TV'S. I HAVE A STREAMING STICK + ON OUR MAIN TV NETWORK (IT IS NOT A SMART TV.) IN ANOTHER ROOM I HAVE A SAMSUNG SMART TV WHICH IS ALSO ON THE NETWORK. I CAN GET THE ROKU CHANNEL & AMAZON PRIME BUT CAN'T GET THE ACORN CHANNEL WHICH I HAVE PURCHASED THROUGH THE ROKU STREAMING STICK + ACCOUNT. THANKS TOM G.
Different brands of smart TVs have different apps/channels. What's available on one may or may not be available on another. If Acorn doesn't provide an app for your Samsung smart TV then you'd have to plug in a Roku device to get it. You should also be aware that anything paid for through Roku will probably only work on a Roku device (or possibly within The Roku Channel).
