Same issue
Why would my Roku premiere simply stop working after over a year? Literally nothing new has transpired. Just won’t find my network anymore. Finds plenty around the neighborhood. No changes to my router. Have factory reset and reset router. Understand this may be a 5g band issue. But why did it start out of nowhere? And why can’t it be fixed?
I'm having the same problem. My less-than-one-month old Premiere worked fine for two weeks. Now it can't find my home network, nor most of the neighborhood networks that usually show up. I have rebooted router, modem, and Roku without improvement. Also run data speed tests near router and near Roku with laptop--no problems there. Everything else works except my new Roku. Will be returning and finding another solution, I guess.
Software update?
ROKU devices are consumable. They have a designed life of ~18 months after which the wireless cards / antenna die / get fried from overheating.
I'll second the recommendation to restart your wifi router. It doesn't make any sense to me either when other devices are still working, but I've seen it work. Also, pull the power plug on your roku or roku TV instead of just a software restart.
I am so glad someone else has spoke up! We always watch tv at night in bed. The other night our Roku tv was working just fine and when we went to watch the very next night, it won’t connect to our wireless network. I have tried every reset option, with factory reset as last resort, even tried to set up a new connection and it STILL won’t work!! Everything else in the house works just fine, but NOTHING is working to get the tv reconnected! I have been using Roku products since 2009 and this is the first time I have ever had a problem!
I had the exact same problem – roku would not find the wireless connection. I had many other devices logged onto the wireless connection, but roku would not connect. I reset my wireless router and reset my roku device and it worked perfect. THANK YOU!!

After restarting internet and roku devices none of my roku devices are able to connect.
Thanks for the post.
I would recommend checking out our Support page for troubleshooting issues here: What should I do if I cannot connect to my home network or the internet?
Please answer the following questions so we can get a better understanding of what you are seeing:
- Have you ensured your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network for the device to connect to? The Roku Express is only compatible with wireless b/g/n networks on the 2.4 GHz spectrum.
- Have you tried changing the wireless broadcast channel on the router to see if this will allow your device to connect?
- Have you tried moving the device closer to your router to see if you can get connected?
- How long have you been experiencing this problem?
If those things still aren't helping, feel free to send me a PM with your Roku account email address and the serial number of your Roku from Settings>System>About along with the answers to the above questions and I'll be able to assist you further from there.
Thanks,
Danny
