@Toddwrtr I agree. Average Roku lifespan is 3-5 years. They are cheap so why hold onto a Roku that’s like 7+ years old. Spend hours and days trying to diagnose it. But in less time you can run the store, buy a new Roku and be back to streaming 👍🏻
I just bought mines a month ago and having this issues.. this is the 2nd Roku express I have bought and have had this issue. I see my wifi but it won't connect
@Queenchef83 Can you please provide more information such as your model number and who is your ISP?

If you are within the return window, I would exchange it for either the Express 4K or Streaming Stick 4K. These two models have upgraded Wi-Fi chipsets over the Express HD.
I could not post model number because first thing asked was to get on line. I bought my Roku about a month ago and did fine for 3 weeks. This week I’ve restarted my router and factory reset Roku at least 50 times over the week. (On all 3 devises)
I gave Comcast a call and asked them to run a diagnostic and restart my router. They said everything fine (and I couldn’t argue because my iPad, iPhone and Mac all worked great)
then about 30 minutes after the reset everything started working.
@Jayde Your model number is stamped on the outside of your Roku

If you have a 2.4ghz-only Roku device (Roku Express 3930/3931/LE and Roku Premiere 3920/3921), or are trying to use any Roku device on the 2.4ghz band of your network and have a Cable ISP (Xfinity/Comcast, Cox, or AT&T), firmware updates to their routers are causing connection difficulties and issues.
You may be able to able to connect intermittently, or just experience very stubborn connections/disconnections. This is a known issue and reported on various network forums as well as in this Community.
In order to prevent the disconnections on the 2.4ghz band, or to regain a lost connection, simply change/Edit your 2.4 ghz band's Wireless Mode in these cable routers to reflect b/g/n rather than g/n or whatever it is currently set to.
Instructions for the various ISP's are below.
