Amen. None of these answers address the fact that they worked find for a long time and then all of a sudden for no apparent reason, they suddenly don't.

I'm blaming the firmware update. No one is telling us how to address that if we can't even get connected to find an update fix. I'm going to fire stick. These Roku Express devices are awful.

Well, it’s been almost a month and mine hasn’t been booted off the WiFi. This fix totally worked. It wasn’t roku, it was my  Xfinity. I had to go into the modem and fix it. 
…. so yeah… not roku’s fault.

Yes the chord is definitely pulled. Mine stopped all of a sudden. Usually it’ll reconnect but not this time.

If you are getting an error code or message, refer to this link for common Roku error codes and their recommended actions: How to connect your Roku device to the internet using Wi-Fi or Ethernet

Furthermore, if the affected device is either a Roku Express or Roku Premiere, please note that they are only compatible with wireless b/g/n networks on the 2.4 GHz spectrum. Ensure that your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network for the device to connect to. You can check your device model by navigating to Settings > System > About.

You can also try configuring your router and use wireless channels 1, 6, or 11 which are the preferred channels in North America. Each time you change the wireless channel, you will likely need to apply/save changes before you are prompted to restart the router.

I’ve tried rebooting resetting unplugging and still won’t connect. Crazy thing is it was working fine until I purchased a fire tv and then the Roku Express stopped connecting. I have excellence signal strength and still won’t connect. When it does connect it says check your connection which is nothing wrong with my connection all my other streaming devices works fine.

Make sure your settings in your modem/router are like these in the picture. When my provider sends a new update I have to go and manually change them
