Help & troubleshooting for network issues, including connecting your device to your home Wi-Fi network, connecting to public networks, troubleshooting wireless issues & ethernet connections, and optimizing streaming performance.
Last week I factory reset Roku after it wouldn’t open Hulu. I started the resigning in process only to not be able to get passed network password. It was the same screen I always used after reconnection issues. I’ve checked my router and done the IP address in the web browser only to hit a dead end. Called internet provider snd hit dead end there. Any help would be great.
Re: Unable to get to Home Screen after factory reset
You need to enter your WiFi (SSID) password - this information would be listed in the WiFi section of the configuration pages of your modem/router/gateway that you appear to have attempted to access/find - if you never changed it from the default, it may even be listed on a sticker on the back/bottom of the device.
This is usually at https://192.168.01 or something similar to that - if your ISP provides your modem/router/gateway, you can contact them for information on how to access the configuration pages.
If you have other WiFi devices, you can get the password from them as well by checking the saved password for your WiFi SSID(s).
