Hi all, We upgraded to the Streaming Stick + and now can no longer do screen mirroring from laptops.
One laptop starts to connect then the screen is mirrored then it winks off and can no longer connect.
All settings are as the older stick with ALLOW all connections. Frustrating. Any clues out there?
Delete all devices under "Screen mirroring devices" whether they are "always allowed" or "always blocked".
Set the "Screen mirroring mode" to "Prompt".
Attempt a screen mirroring session from a device.
When prompted (be patient, it can take 30-60 seconds), choose "Always Allow" for each device.
If the problem persists, and your wireless network has both 2.4 and 5Ghz band usage, try switching the laptops to connect via 2.4Ghz first, or, switch the Roku to connect to the other band (from 2.4Ghz to 5Ghz, or vice versa), assuming your wireless network has different SSIDs for each band.
No devices are shown.
How does one switch to 5 Hz I see no settings under system.
You'll need to configure your wireless gateway/router for separate 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz networks (assuming it has both) by giving them different SSIDs (e.g. "MyNet2.4" and "MyNet5")
After that its just a matter of choosing the 2.4 or 5Ghz SSID in the Roku wireless connection setup (Settings/Network/setup connection)
Made no difference still can not screen mirror to ROKU with the new + stick as the older one did w/o an issue
