Roku premier

I have had my roku for a few years and all of a sudden it reads not connected to internet and the white light is flashing as it does when not connected. I went through the regular steps and reconnected the internet But it continues to not except our password but it shows our access account is listed. The info I put in is correct but our roku will not connect to our internet?? I have tried unplugging and connecting remote to roku twice. SOS please let me know what I can do..

Re: Roku premier

Hi,

Thanks for letting us know about the issue that you are experiencing.

We recommend rebooting both your wireless router and your Roku device. Alternately, I'd also recommend trying to connect your device to an alternate network or mobile hotspot. If you are able to connect without issue, this usually indicates an issue with your network or password. In that case, you might also try changing your network password to see if that resolves the connection issue.

For some wireless troubleshooting tips feel free to visit our support page here: Tips for improving the wireless connection to your Roku® streaming device

Please keep us posted with what you find out.

Thanks,
Danny

Re: Roku premier

My Roku from 6 years ago suddenly quit displaying closed captioning and I decided to upgrade to a new premier 3920x. The new device will not connect to my network after multiple restarts and hours of research. I am very unhappy. All other devices are working on this network, password correct, 2.4Ghz

Re: Roku premier

@Streamerjohn  Thanks for reaching out. The Roku Premiere (model 3920) supports standard wireless b/g/n networks. A few more questions here to help clarify what you are seeing:

- Have you tried adjusting your network security settings to see if this makes a difference? Such as using WPA, WPA2-personal, etc.

- Have you tried changing the wireless broadcast channel on your router to see if this allows your device to connect?

- Have you tried connecting to a different wireless network or router, such as a mobile hotspot, to see if you are able to successfully connect?

- What is the specific brand and model of wireless router that you are trying to connect to?

- Are you seeing a specific error code on the screen when you try to connect to your network? Try looking here to see what different error codes refer to: https://support.roku.com/article/208755728-what-should-i-do-if-i-cannot-connect-to-my-home-network-o...

Keep us posted from there!

Thanks,

Tanner

Re: Roku premier

@Streamerjohn

Thanks for the inquiry.

We recommend rebooting both your wireless router and your Roku device as well as trying to connect your device to an alternate network, such as a mobile hotspot to see if you can get the device setup. Once the device is setup, try reconnecting to your wireless network.

Please keep us posted.

Thanks,
Danny
