Roku premier stopped connecting to WiFi and won’t reconnect
It has nothing to do with internet connection and a factory reset of the device didn’t work. I dug up my ancient Roku 2 and it connected just fine so thankfully I can fall asleep to my beloved Deep Space Nine but the Roku 2 is slow as molasses and doesn’t have any of the features the premier has.
Anybody have any ideas on why the premier just decided to stop connecting out of nowhere and what I should do to fix it? I’m thinking I just need to buy a new one but I’d love to just fix the one I have because it works great when it’s actually connected
Oh and when the roku premier shows available WiFi networks the one I use shows up and shows that it has good signal strength but when I try to connect I get denied. It’s weird
Might your router be one supplied by your internet provider? If so, your problem may have been caused by a recent update to your router. This has been reported lately with equipment from Xfinity and Cox, but there may be others.
Affected users report the router configuration needs to be switched from g/n security back to b/g/n. If you don't have access to your router's control panel you may have to have your internet provider do it for you.
