These are the settings on my wifi box and not sure how to make my wifi connection open

Settings look pretty good at first glance.  I will look closer this eve when I have time and do a markup for with any changes.

Go ahead and download this user manual for the Franklin T9.  This way I can refer to page number as needed. (https://calyxinstitute.org/devices/franklin-t9/franklin-t9-manual.pdf)

For an open network, just remove your password. (leave password field empty).  May also have to select "Open" under Authentication Method, but generally not necessary if field is allowed to be left blank. This is just for testing.  Reenable a password after testing.

when connecting to the internet, it has a green check and a red X

Need a little more info.  Please post your Roku device model number, your router model number, and your ISP (internet provider) and any error messages you are seeing on screen.

In the meantime, you can try restarting both your Roku device and the Router (as well as any peripheral modems and extenders if part of the network.)

1. Are you using a Roku TV or a Roku device?
2. Does the issue only occur on a specific channel or all channels on your Roku device?
3. Are you receiving error messages or codes when accessing the channel?
4. What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far to try to resolve the issue?
5. What are you seeing on screen? Can you provide a screenshot of the issue you are experiencing?
