Roku express connect to 5 ghz rather than 2.4 ghz.

Jump to solution

I have both 2.4 and 5 ghz on my router but only the 2.4 ghz shows up to connect to my roku express. How do I connect to 5 ghz to connect to the roku express?  Connected to the 2.4 is poor quality and buffering issues.

The Roku Express is the least expensive bottom model in the current line. Sorry, but it only supports 2.4 ghz, not 5 ghz.

Have you tried configuring your modem to use a different wifi channel number in the 2.4 ghz band? Perhaps the one you're using is crowded by others in the area and so interference levels are high.
