Roku Ultra 2019 Green Check marks stalls and not working

I select my network, Checking....Wireless connection (Green Check) Internet connections (Green Check).  Then it stalls and will not go to any other window; restarts itself and goes to bouncing Roku.  Then tells me I have no connection and the process starts again?  Does it need a software update?  It shows a connection but will not go past the green check marked window.  I believe I'll have to return it and buy another type of device, which is a bummer because I've used Roku for over 7 years, and my last Roku became unusable as it was not compatible as of early December.

We recommend rebooting both your wireless router and your Roku device. Alternately, I'd also recommend trying to connect your device to an alternate network or mobile hotspot.  If you are able to connect without issue, this usually indicates an issue with your network or password. In that case, you might also try changing your network password (avoid using any special characters from your wireless network password) to see if that resolves the connection issue.

I am facing the same issue on a Roku Express.  This is the 2nd Roku with the same issue.  The 1st I eventually got it to connect after the 1st update then it wanted to update again.  I restarted it, cycled power, cleared password, retyped password, restarted router at least 20 times, and it just worked.  And it has continued to work.  This 2nd Roku I have tried everything including the same as before and hard 30 sec reset.  Makes no sense.  Everything else I own will connect to the router.

I'd recommend trying to connect your device to an alternate network or mobile hotspot to see if you can get past the software update.  If you are able to connect without issue, this usually indicates an issue with your network or password. In that case, you might also try changing your network password (avoid using any special characters from your wireless network password) to see if that resolves the connection issue.

I tried everything and it would not worked.  I returned it, and bought an apple tv device, it worked with no problems.  It cost twice the price but I was able to use it to watch tv.  As I'd stated before, I wanted to keep using Roku but the device I had became outdated.  I updated to a new Roku Ultra and it would not work, so I bought an Apple and now I have no problems.  I understand that technology goes out of date and that there are instances of faulty products; I hope it's not a broad issue with lots of similar issues related to the Roku Ultra 2019.
