Help & troubleshooting for network issues, including connecting your device to your home Wi-Fi network, connecting to public networks, troubleshooting wireless issues & ethernet connections, and optimizing streaming performance.
My power was out for 5 days due to Hurricane Ida. Now neither of my Roku Express will connect to my wifi, and my Hisense Roku TV is slow as molasses. My Roku 3 is working fine. None were on when the power went out. I have changed wall plugs, changed out the power strips, changed TVs, hooked up through the USB on the TV, reset my modem numerous times, reset my Rokus numerous times. My wifi works normal for all my other internet equipment. My wall plugs and power strips all work for all my other internet and non-internet appliances. HELP PLEASE.
Furthermore, please be advised that Roku Express is only compatible with wireless b/g/n networks on the 2.4 GHz spectrum. Ensure that your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network for the device to connect to.
You can also try configuring your router and use wireless channels 1, 6, or 11 which are the preferred channels in North America. Each time you change the wireless channel, you will likely need to apply/save changes before you are prompted to restart the router.
