Roku 3920X Interferes with Logitech Mouse

I have a Roku 3920X connected to my WiFi and I also have a computer in the same room with a Logitech M720 Mouse.

When I start streaming a TV show or movie, my mouse begins to stutter as I'm trying to use it, i.e., it moves with a delay.

When I hit the Home button on the Roku and just have the Home Screen screen showing on the TV, the mouse works fine - as soon as I make a selection and streaming starts, my mouse begins to act up.

Anyone else have this problem and is there a fix for it?

Thanks,

Mike

Where is the proximity of your Router?

Are you sure the Mouse and watching Roku is related?

I've been using M325's for years.

Theyre only around 12 bucks if you wanna try one.

Do you use Windows?

This is a new one.

Can you log into a different WIFI band?

Re: Roku 3920X Interferes with Logitech Mouse

Hi,

Yes I do use windows and my router is two rooms away.

I have tested the mouse several times when the Roku is streaming and not streaming.  When it is streaming, the mouse hesitates and when it is idle, the mouse works fine.  I had been connected via the Unifying Receiver but just switched to Bluetooth and that seems to have fixed the issue.

My M720 mouse has several programmable keys that make audio editing easier - so I was hoping that I would not need to change mice :-).

Thanks,

Mike

Or try a different Wi-Fi channel.

Not to hijack, but @boogernose  where do you find one for 12 bucks?  They're like double that on Amazon.  I need one of those unifying receivers for someone who lost hers and they're as much as the mouse in some cases

@renojim

Hmmmmm Well I may be a bit dated on that. But it seems to me I did see

them at Best Buy not long ago for about that.

20 bucks seems to be the going rate now.

Re: Roku 3920X Interferes with Logitech Mouse

I have the same problem with the Logitech M325 Mouse and my wireless keyboard when my husband is watching TV with the Roku streaming in the next room.

Here's what might fix it though the info is a little out of date interface wise:

You basically have to turn off your ability to connect your phone/ipad to do mirroring, which is a pain if you've been doing that to watch HBOMax.

I've tried it for a bit and I think it's working...for now.

Re: Roku 3920X Interferes with Logitech Mouse

I turned off the mirroring on the roku and it appeared to be working yesterday but today it's back to the same problem. This is so infuriating. And we only have issues with the mouse not working on another computer in another room when the roku is streaming. The TV doesn't have wifi so it's not that and by eliminating all other things we now know that the roku is the problem. Any other ideas out there?
