I have a roku 3 that has no internet. It shows connected and excellent signal strength. However none of the apps will load, say there is not internet. Have rebooted router and not having any issues as far as any other devices getting internet. Is my Roku 3 obsolete? Note: I have charter spectrum app and would like to salvage this device, since new devices cannot download the spectrum TV APP.
I am having the same issue. My Roku Express Model 3930X worked just fine for a year or so then started doing this. It shows that it is connected to the internet and the signal strength is excellent. Yet when I try to open an app (Netflix, Prime or Hulu) I get a message saying there is no network connection. I have rebooted the router and sometimes that fixes it. Until it didn't. I have done a factory reset twice which fixes it until the next time I turn it on. I have updated the software and read every forum and potential solution I can try. Is this a defective device?? How does a person get support from Roku for something like this? There are no tutorials covering this specific problem. I have watched them all.
Welcome to the Roku Community and thanks for letting us know all that you've done.
Please be noted that you have the Roku Express 3930x and it is a single-band wireless device which means it only supports a 2.4 GHz connection. Your Roku Express will not recognize the 5Ghz network. You need to make sure that your 2.4 GHz network is active by using your mobile phone and checking if you can detect the 2.4 GHz network. We also suggest you reach out to your Internet Service Provider or ISP for assistance in checking if the 2.4 GHz network is active and not hidden.
