Over the weekend, my Roku updated to 9.4 (not sure 100% if this has to do with anything). My Roku lost connection to the wireless network it was on and when I searched for wireless networks, nothing would be found. I checked my wireless network and everything seemed to be fine. Other devices such as my phone have full strength in the garage where this Roku lives and no other devices in the house are having issues. I tried doing the network reset and a factory reset with no luck. I moved the device inside closer to the access points and right now, it's about 10 feet away with nothing between it and the wireless access point. I was able to pick up my wireless network again but the signal strength is super poor. Checking again in the software for my wireless network shows that it has 89% signal strength. I've tried messing with my wireless settings, changing stuff with the channels, and nothing seems to be helping signal strength at all. It's acting like it can't be more then about 10-15 feet away from an access point when all my other devices don't have issues around the house.
Is there anything else I can try? I've already reset my access points but I don't think they're the issue at all. I've had this Roku now for about 3-4 months and it was working perfectly fine up until this past weekend.
I've run into this here several times. This has always worked for me:
Restart your router (even if other devices have no problem finding and connecting). Sometimes that's all it takes, if not keep going.
Restart the Roku to clear its memory via Settings > System > System restart (for a Roku TV it's Settings > System > Power > System restart). Again, sometimes that's all it takes, if not keep going.
Find and connect to your network via Settings> Network > Set up connection
If that doesn't fix it, try disconnecting the power to your Roku for a few seconds. When it comes back up, see if you then can set up the network connection.
