Pairing Remote, reset Roku, original wifi network name?

OK, remote broke, bought a new one.  Roku stick was factory reset.

Now I can not get my remote to pair with the roku stick.

I can not get the roku stick to connect to wifi network.

Remember the roku stick has be reset to factory settings.

my remote does NOT have the pairing button.

I can see the DIRECT-roku-xxx-F2AC34D  on the wifi network

I have started the stick, then added batteries to the remote.

I have left the remote on, and unplugged the roku stick, Nothing works

How do you suggest I get the remote and stick working together?????

Yeah nothing is going to happen until you get the remote connected.

Try this unplug the Stick.

Take the batterys out and into the remote.

Then power up the Stick with the remote very close by.

Assuming you got a compatible remote this should work.

UPDATE

After reading a bit.....if you dont have a reset button its an IR remote and

may not not compatible with a stick.

Re: Pairing Remote, reset Roku, original wifi network name?

Its looking for any and every wifi signal it can.

You will not be able to connect without a remote.

The app wont do it.

I think you probably need to trade  that remote for another one.

@HTM98

Thanks for the inquiry.

If you have a Roku Streaming Stick, you will need an enhanced remote which the remote that you purchased is not, as it does not have a pairing button.

Can you let us know what model Roku Streaming Stick you have so we can make the correct recommendation of what remote you need?

Thanks,
Danny
