No video displayed. Blinking white LED. Please help.

Jump to solution

Had my Roku for several years, had a power outage but everything came back on except Roku will not connect to my Wifi, and my signal is fine.  My laptop and cell have no prob picking up my wifi.  Roku stick will not connect.

Rebooted the modem, the stick, unplugged TV, new batteries in remote, and moved HDMI output, getting ready to replace HDMI.  This is annoying AF.  Roku customer service says its an internet problem, my internet provider says it's fine.  SOOOOOO...I'm stuck. I get two blinks and then nothing.

Hi @girlfriday72

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

If you are getting an error code or message, refer to this link for common Roku error codes and their recommended actions: What should I do if I cannot connect to my home network or the internet?

Furthermore, if the affected device is a Roku Express or Roku Premiere, please note that they are only compatible with wireless b/g/n networks on the 2.4 GHz spectrum. Ensure that your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network for the device to connect to. You can check your device model by navigating to Settings > System > About.

You can also try configuring your router and use wireless channels 1, 6, or 11 which are the preferred channels in North America. Each time you change the wireless channel, you will likely need to apply/save changes before you are prompted to restart the router.

Let us know how it goes!

All the best,
Kariza

This worked.  I did have to call my internet company and have them adjust the settings of the router as it wouldn't allow me to just do it via their internet browser.  Once I got a rep on the phone I was fine and she was able to adjust to the 2.4Ghz

THANK YOU!!
