New router

I installed a new Linksys router today. All my other devices recognize it and I am able to get onto the internet. My Roku also says that I have a wireless connection and an internet connection with the new router. However, none of my apps on the Roku will open including the Roku Channel. Yet as soon as I plug in my old router the Roku works perfectly. Can anyone give me some advice on how to remedy this?

Things to try:

1) Restart your Roku (Settings/System/System restart)

2) Reset your network connection (Settings/System/Advanced system settings/Network connection reset)

3) If that doesn't work, try naming the wireless SSID(s) on your new router slightly different than on your old router, then check your apps.

4) Change your new router's firewall settings (reduce them a level or two).
