@Bobr83

Thanks for the notes.

The Roku Express and Express+ devices will only connect to a 2.4 Ghz network. If you can change your network from 5 Ghz to 2.4 Ghz, then your device will connect to your network. Otherwise, you would need a different device that can connect to 5 Ghz (not an Express or Premiere) such as a Roku Streaming Stick or Roku Ultra.

@Bobr83

Thanks for the inquiry.

If your password has special characters, you may have issues connecting to your network. If that is the case, you might try changing your network password (avoid using any special characters from your wireless network password) to see if that resolves the connection issue.

Please keep us posted.

Thanks,
Danny

The only special character I have is an exclamation point, I would assume that would be accepted.

My WiFi is 5Ghz. Does this mean I need a different box?

It worked up until a few days ago. It recognizes my wireless network, but says it can't connect with the password that works for everything else. Why would it stop working suddenly?

What does that have to do with accepting password. It worked when we first set it up

My Roku Express is having the same issue. It won't connect to the wireless network even though I'm 100% certain that the password is correct. I'm able to connect other devices to the wireless router using the same password. It's also a 2.4 Ghz router.

I've reset the Roku and the router. On the advice of a YouTube "expert", I went into the "system network menu" and disabled network pings to no avail. I even went into the "wireless secret screen" and found that the signal strength is 0 dbm which is as high as it can be.

Clearly the issue is with the Roku. What else can be done?
