Loss of Internet Connection

My Roku Express recently has been losing internet connection multiple times a day. All other devices in my house work just fine, so it's not my internet. The router is 1 foot from the Roku device and signal strength is excellent. Any suggestions on how to fix this issue? There's no reason the internet should not be working.

it is actually possible to be TOO close to the router such that the signal overwhelms the wifi receiver in the Roku.  If you have the flexibility, try moving the Roku around a bit.  Sometimes even just a few inches can make a difference.
