Frontier Fios

Frontier does not answer and Roku show no Frontier Fios beta as it does for Xfinity..

Do I just toss Roku if my HOA switches to Frontier?

Less than one years use. Quite the Parkinson's Law purchase.

Re: Frontier Fios

Single Sign On works with most cable and satellite providers. Here are a few notable exceptions:

  • Spectrum (Bright House Networks, Time Warner Cable, Charter)
  • Comcast XFINITY
  • Altice (includes Optimum, Suddenlink and CableVision)
  • Verizon
  • Frontier

NOTABLE EXCEPTIONS....Ya Think !!!!!!

Re: Frontier Fios

I use Frontier FIOS in Fort Wayne Indiana.  I have had NO problems with my Roku devices (Hisense Roku TV, Roku Stick, Roku Ultra.  What exactly are you having issues with?  Can you give examples?  Look forward to seeing your response.

Re: Frontier Fios

I believe you are looking for a FIOS app like the Xfinity app that lets you watch Xfinity-carried cable stations on a Roku. Many people use this to view their Xfinity subscription on multiple sets without having to pay for additional Xfinity boxes.

If Frontier has not supplied Roku with a similar app, you can probably still view most, if not all, of the cable stations carried by Frontier, but you'll need to install the Roku apps for the individual stations, (like Watch TCM, for instance) then enable each of them by signing in one time via your Frontier login credentials.

Re: Frontier Fios

My grandson installed it but had to leave before I understood how to navigate. I just need to plug in the connector cord. That’s easy. What I don’t understand is how to navigate so that Disney+ is streaming on the TV.

Re: Frontier Fios local tv without set top box.

There is no app for Frontier FiOS on my new Roku that lets me get direct access to Frontier. I have to connect connect the Frontier Coax to a set top box and the set top box to the Roku with and HDMI cable. How is that other people tell they can do away with their set top box and still get Frontier? Some say they use TV everywhere, but I don’t see that app on my Roku either.

Re: Frontier Fios local tv without set top box.

TV Everywhere usually means a collection of channel apps like ESPN, CNNgo, TBS, TNT etc. These apps are usually marked in the channel store as:  "CABLE OR SATELLITE SUBSCRIPTION REQUIRED".  You download these channels, click on them, link to a website, then log into your cable/FIOS account.  Often logging into one of these logs you into many of them.  Once linked, you just click on, for example, the TBS app and it typically won't ask you to re-authenticate for a long time.
