Does TV need to have internet connection

I set up wireless internet connection with Roku.  Does my TV also need to be set up with Wifi connection to stream wirelessly with Roku?

You didnt mention what your Hardware is but Try to stream a Roku Channel and see........

My guess is probably not.

You didnt mention what your Hardware is but Try to stream a Roku Channel and see........

My guess is probably not.

Hardware is a Samsung Smart TV.  After meandering around the menus, I disconnected internet WiFi connection from TV and lo and behold - Roku streaming worked fine wirelessly.  You were right! Thank you..
