I have (had) three Roku devices that worked with a moderate level of periodic dysfunction until I got a new cable modem. None of the three devices could find the modem's signal while my other devices (5) all connected without a hitch. I tried MANY times to find the signal and I contacted Roku support who refused to provide assistance. So, I bought a Fire Stick, connected it, and had no problem. The three Roku devices are in the trash and I will never buy another product from them.
Many times cable companies send out new modems with the 2.4 GHz radio disabled, only using 5 GHz. Only a handful of Roku devices support 5 GHz, so that might have been your issue. You might still check if that's the case, and most likely your Roku devices will still work fine.
