DO NOT BUY A ROKU. EVER.
Sorry for the above, I'm just flagging for attention.
So:
An Express. 3900EU.
I've posted that thn stopped connecting to the original AP and SSI. It will no longer see any AP that is maore than 2m away.
WLAN (wireless) is dying - basically dead a while ago. The only way to get the piece of s**t to FIND a wireless LAN is to sit the device on top of the access point. Not acceptable when AP is on ceiling.
THIS IS A DEVICE ISSUE. It reports a max speed of 3mbps thru the AP. The AP is ONLY for the ROKU. It is 1cm (1/2 inch) from the Roku. Its the only way the Roku finds a wireless SSID. A site survey from an adjacent iOS device (AirPort Utility) finds ~30 SSID in the 2.4 range (neighbours etc) - using iOS because iOS have pretty $hit antennae. Ruku finds only the SSID that is within 50cm. A RF spectrum analizer shows the received RF as at least -23dBm on the appropriate 802.11b,g,n,ac frequency with the antenna next to the R***
These are badly / cheaply built pieces of WEEE waiting to hapen
