Connectivity issue with iPhone XR

Our Roku Express will not connect with our iPhone XR. Our Roku TV does not seem to have an issue connecting with the same phone. Need help please.

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out regarding the issue that you are experiencing. 

Just a quick question to clarify the issue: when you state that your Express will not connect to your iPhone XR, are you trying to connect via the Roku mobile app, or trying to connect to your iPhone XR's hotspot?

Version 9.1.0
IOS is 12.3.1

Already have simple name w/o spaces or characters. As I said earlier, my Roku TV connects without issue. What is the fix for this device? That thread has gone on for months now with no solution from Roku. You cannot still be “looking” into the issue!!! Please do not call this customer service.....it is not.

We've been passing along these reports to our team who's investigating this issue. I apologize for any delays—we're diligently working to get this addressed as soon as possible. 

In the meantime, try this solution submitted by another user

"Try keeping your iPhone displaying the hotspot configuration screen (the one that shows your hotspot password) through the ENTIRE connection process."

Have you confirmed that any other device is able to join the iPhone hotspot successfully?

Any more thoughts? Getting a bit frustrated as we no longer get “ hard wired” internet service,
