Connectivity Issues

My roku won’t allow me to use because it says I have poor connection. I’ve tried every step (restarting router and roku) and it still will not work. Can I get some help please?

Go to settings>system>restart Do you have WiFi? If so, connect your Roku through WiFi.

and yes sorry I do have wifi that works on every device but roku.

Are you not able to activate your device? (are you stuck at the part where you connect to your WiFi network?)

Otherwise, if you are at the Home screen:  Settings/Network/Check connection  and post the "internet download speed" result.

I can activate the device but it says the connection is poor and won’t let me use anything with internet. My Wifi works with my other devices perfectly with strong connection speeds. For some reason my roku will not connect. I’ve tried everything.

What is your model # and firmware version?  go to Settings/System/About

Again, if you can see the Home screen:  go to Settings/Network/Check connection and post back here what the "internet download speed" is.

internet download speed: just says poor connection Error 018

What is your download speed provided by your ISP? (What service tier/level are you paying for?)

Have you checked your download speed with another device at speedtest.net etc? (PC/phone/etc)

I pay for 1,000 gb. Every device works other than my roku.
