Hi There - I recently switch my ISP provider from Frontier to Cox. Now I am trying to connect Roku Express (which was up and running with Frontier) with new WiFi but surprisingly I can’t see my new WiFi name is listed under available wireless network list. I tried doing multiple attempts to restart router, Roku and Samsung TV but no luck. WiFi signal is excellent. I found some other thread that Roku Express supports 2.4GHz network. My wireless provider has both 2.4 and 5GHz, so that option seems inapplicable. Is this a bug is Roku? Any suggestion to fix this is highly appreciated.
I’m having the same exact issue with my Roku Premiere! We upgraded our Cox internet to Panoramic with better speed/connectivity so it’s not a strength issue. The Roku just isn’t detecting the WiFi for some reason.
We’re you able to find a solution? I’m having the EXACT same problem.
I’m having the same issue and I can’t stand it all I wanted total was watch a movie (just got it today )
There are smart phone apps to see if your router is broadcasting ok.
I use WifiAnalyzer with Android. you do want to use the 2.4ghz signal.
Usually restarting the Router once twice. These problems seem to persist
with Home Networks that have a few things logged in. Try logging out
with any other things logged in. reboot the Router and see.
