Hey everyone,

We know some of you have issues with the Roku Mobile App freezing after exiting to navigate away or opening after locking the screen.

Status Update 5.2.25: The issue with the Roku mobile app freezing has now been resolved.

To make sure everything works smoothly, just update the Roku Mobile App to the latest version.

Within the past week iphone app is freezing up if I lock my screen and return, or navigate away from the roku app and return. Most of the time the audio stays connected, but the screen itself freezes. If I close out the app and reopen it, it just freezes at the purple roku splash screen. I have to either wait several minutes or reboot my phone to get the roku app to successfully open. The roku app appears to be the only app misbehaving on my phone. ios 17.6.1 roku app software version 11.4.2.17021903.1

We will gladly assist you further regarding the Roku mobile app concern. Please try to uninstall the Roku mobile app and re-install it again.

If the problem still persists, try to use another phone and see if that makes any diffrencess.

App stopped locking up after update for a week-ish. Started again this morning. I think there was another update last night. Roku app 11.5.0.17792423.44. IOS 17.6.1

On the left, phone active, and on the right, phone being inactive. Have to close the app and reopen. Software is up to date.

We get that one of your mobile devices is having an issue with the Roku mobile app which is freezing. We would be more than willing to sort this out for you.

 Let's see if this works for you.

• Uninstall the Roku mobile app
• Ensure that your mobile phone is running the latest OS/iOS version
• Restart your mobile device.

We suggest we try these troubleshooting steps, and please let us know if the issue persists.

The issue still persists with uninstalling & reinstalling app, rebooting iphone, closing & opening app.  It started with a Roku app upgrade.  Please fix this bug.

Yup, mine has been freezing for at least a week... is it a Roku app update or the latest IOS?

It is infuriating either way.
