Mine (premiere) started doing the same today. My other one is (also premiere) is working fine, for now.
On my older Roku TV I suddenly find that I cannot switch (on the Home screen) from Home to any of the inputs nor apps. My choice is always just the side Home or the advertisement that opens up a Roku show. But the entire list of HDMI inputs as well as apps like the Roku app itself are inaccessible. When trying to scroll with the remote, it simply jumps between the scroll list on the left (showing Home, Settings, etc.) to whatever the ad is on the far right. In the middle are listed all the inputs and apps I normally use, but scrolling skips over that entire group in the middle I've tried connecting and disconnecting but nothing seems to work.

Well, this is a new and unfortunate wrinkle. My TV has turned into little more than a glorified screen mirroring advert machine.
Around 5 AM EDT today, I was watching Live TV just fine. I even hopped out and poked around the menu a little before I went to bed. So, I go to bed and come back around 1:30 PM EDT, turn on my TV from a cold boot, and just like that, the channel tiles can't be selected.
I absolutely cannot access TV inputs through any means I can think of since they're not apps, and I cannot even highlight any of the Channel Tiles. Doing so shows me the tiles and an advert like normal, but hitting OK instantly shoves me over onto the advert — which, funny enough, also works as normal, opening the relevant product and allowing me to open the relevant app if I have it, or download the app if I don't.
I can still select the menu items to the left such as Search and Settings, but the "All Things Food" menu soft-locks the TV until I hit the Back or Home button on my remote since it can't display any tiles for whatever reason. Everything else there seems to work from this menu, too — I can even access apps (like Fox Nation) through the Search menu just fine. In addition, AirPlay / Screen Mirroring still works as expected. It's only the Channel Tiles that can't be selected.
It's also worth mentioning that if I open an advert, or try to open the Food menu, then I come back, my Channel Tiles will either be messed up or have completely vanished.
This is the strangest problem I've encountered so far, and it basically makes my television unusable. I'd prefer not to reset my TV to its factory defaults — especially if it won't fix the issue. I've tried opening an app through Search, hard rebooting the TV, and unplugging the TV for a minute and plugging it back in. Nothing changed anything. So… yeah. "Broken TV". What a treat on this Friday the 13th, innit.

(This is not normal behavior.)
Same Here.
I have rebooted (both warm and cold boots), happening on multiple devices

Problem seems to be in the menu system. Temp work-around. Go to search, enter the app need, click on that and then open.
My roku just started having this problem as well, same exact thing.
I was having this same problem. To fix it I went into Settings > Home Screen > All Things Food > Hide.
We have several Roku model 3941X and starting just now none of them will allow us to select an app from the home screen of the Roku. They are running software version 14.1, updated 10 hours ago. I can search for an app and it streams properly, just can't select the app from the Roku main menu.
This fixed it, thank you!
