what is the latest version of roku express?
im buying the device in ebay and i would like to know its the latest version.
fot instance, someone is selling 6th Generation. is this the latest version?
@ilanb100 Thanks for the question. The letters at the end of a model number denote either the retailer or region that a device was sold through/in. They do not differentiate the device features.
To comment on your previous questions, the Roku Express 3930 is our latest Roku Express model with the most up to date hardware in that product line.
Thanks,

I believe the latest is the 8th generation. Model number 3930 is the latest. That said, the 6th gen 3900 is basically the same.
Letters after the number just tell how it was sold, and variations of the remote it comes with. X=common sales, R=Retail, W=Walmart (remote has Vudu button.)
well, i can purchase this one for instance:
what is the MPN stands for?
will any roku express will fit pal
Product Identifiers | |
Brand | Roku |
MPN | 3900EU |
UPC | 0829610002194 |
Model | Roku Express 3900 |
That is the 6th gen, which is basically the same as the current one. I do wonder about the EU, as that may mean it's for the Europe market. Not sure if that would affect anything.
Be aware that a new Express is only around US$30, so that eBay deal had better be real good, especially with any shipping costs.
well, they all offer it for about $45-50 but shipment from England to Israel is very cheap, as the ones sold in the USA the shipment cost is almost the same as product cost.
but how can i tell weather the EU makes any difference?

for example - if i buy one in the USA where they use NTSC TV broadcast method, will it play om PAL?
Thanks for the post.
I would recommend checking out our Support page for troubleshooting issues here: What should I do if I cannot connect to my home network or the internet?
Please answer the following questions so we can get a better understanding of what you are seeing:
- Have you ensured your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network for the device to connect to? The Roku Express is only compatible with wireless b/g/n networks on the 2.4 GHz spectrum.
- Have you tried changing the wireless broadcast channel on the router to see if this will allow your device to connect?
- Have you tried moving the device closer to your router to see if you can get connected?
- How long have you been experiencing this problem?
If those things still aren't helping, feel free to send me a PM with your Roku account email address and the serial number of your Roku from Settings>System>About along with the answers to the above questions and I'll be able to assist you further from there.
Thanks,
Danny
I have tried all the suggestions on the help page and other suggestions from forums.
I am not the only person with this problem.
Have you ensured your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network for the device to connect to? YES

YES , tried two different premises with the distance being no more than 4 meters and in clear sight.
- How long have you been experiencing this problem? Since opening the box, brand new and I purchased two of the Express Rokus. I also have a Stick and two Roku Premiere, all that work perfectly.
