Ultra's MicroSD Card capabilities

Trying to verify if you can download content to the MicroSD card on the ultra or if it is only for additional channels as it appears. If it only can do their channel downloads then it is pretty worthless to me.

Thanks

Re: Ultra's MicroSD Card capabilities

AS you have surmised, storing the channel setups is the only function of the SD card. It can speed up your loading of seldom used channels but that's about it.

Re: Ultra's MicroSD Card capabilities

Thanks for the quick response. Now I know which one I want to buy. My 2016 Samsung Smart TV has difficulties with Netflix, Prime and Disney+. I am hoping this will be a reasonable work around. Take care.

Re: Ultra's MicroSD Card capabilities

My early Roku 2 had only 250k of internal storage. Occasionally channel loading was slow as channels were shuffled out of internal memory and newer channels downloaded. My Streaming Stick Plus has a full meg and loads things very nicely.
