Roku setup

hey Roku famly,

We live in Sydney, Australia and at home have 2 Express sticks and 1 Roku streaming box. these were all bought in the US during one of my last visits. For the last year if not more, have been trying to use * button when on streaming channels after having seen youtube videos where it is to bring up a search option, regretfully as soon as I go into streaming channels tab the options button greys out preventing me using it to search

Am keen to use that option to search and add a few channels available now in Australia such as Amazon Prime among others

Can one of you be kind enough to guide me as how to get over this hiccup
