Strong Electronic Smell

Roku Premiere device was set up recently. Shortly after set up and when used, it emits this strong electronic smell similar to the smell you get walking into Best Buy. This has been going on 3 days. Will this smell go away after a week or two, or is this abnormal? It feels pretty warm to the touch but has not gotten any overheated red light warnings or anything.

Roku units tend to run warm to the touch, but they do have an internal temperature sensor that will give warning on screen if the unit gets too hot.

Perhaps a return would be in order. Take it back to the store where you purchased it. Or start an online return.

Can you please provide the serial number of your Roku device from Settings > System > About and the model of your Roku remote?

I too am having this issue with the strong electronics smell of the new voice remote that came with my Roku ultra.  I thought it would go away but it has not.

Who can I contact to resolve this issue?
