Trying to connect a ROKU Premier to a legacy TV. I purchased a Tendak HDMI to s-video converter. I am able to see a ROKU screen saver on the TV. When I try to continue through the setup I get to the autodetect HDMI configuration and it won't get past this stage. I was able to see the earlier network set up screen and was able to enter my wifi password. Now it is apparently hung as I'm still waiting for the autodetect to complete or time out and ask for info. How can I finish the set up?
Well, more poking around and trying stuff, I got it fixed...I replaced the batteries in the remote and all is now well. I'm mildly embarrassed, however those batteries were the ones that came with the roku.
